There are three engines available for the Grand Cherokee, and each one delivers the kind of power that Jeep is known for! The base engine is a solid 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out an awe-inspiring 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, and most trims will give you the option of a 5.7-liter V8 that delivers a spectacular 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. New this year to the Grand Cherokee engine lineup is the hybrid 4xe, which takes the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and adds several hybrid elements such as a battery pack and two electric motors, getting you up to 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. No matter which one of these fantastic engines you go with, it will pair with a smooth-sailing eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive comes standard for the V6, but four-wheel-drive is available. All other engines come standard with four-wheel-drive.
